It is difficult to be impartial when watching a movie that you saw when you were a teenager and that reflected very much your teenage tastes. But I'm confident my rating is close to being objective. The story is fun and the characters are endearing enough, but it is also true that the the comic effect of repetition isn't the most subtle. "Back to the future" is decent entertainment especially if you were born in the early seventies and you like laughing at the oddities of the eighties. One thing I strongly noticed was the awful aging makeup.
